California Phacelia is a native perennial herb that endemic to California. It’s especially attractive to bees as well as other pollinators including the endangered Mission Blue butterfly and up to 11 other butterflies. The flowers, which resemble a scorpion’s tail, provide pollen and nectar for insects during a long blooming period from spring into summer.
Phacelia grows up to a 18 inches tall; it prefers sun but will tolerate shade. It’s easy to grow and will reseed and spread easily.
