Red Flowering Currant (Ribes sanguineum)

Red Flowering Currant are deciduous shrubs that grow about 6  to 12 feet, tall native to the west coast of North America. They are one of the first to flower in spring and are a favorite of hummingbirds. They support up to 85 butterflies and moths, they also produce berries in the summer for birds. They can lose there leaves during the summer but will regrow during the winter rains.
